3. How To?
Choose one reference track that inspires you, or a style you want to dive into regarding sound/recording.
Listen to the sound/feel/timing/use chords/melodies.
Determine the bpm you want to record. Choose 1 bpm for the pack(s).
Determine which sound you want, which amp, which mics will you use, etc.
Make a rough overview for yourself of what kind of loops you want to record and how many of each. Clearly distinguish between intro/verse/chorus/buildup/outro/fx loops so that producers can arrange with them.
Record a large number of usable loops in one session and divide them into packs of 20-50 loops (in steps of 5). For example, if you have 135 loops, make 2 packs of 50 (VOL.1 & VOL.2) and 1 pack of 35 (VOL.3). This is smart because we can sell them as a bundle! Consider VOL.2 and VOL.3 as extensions of the first pack that match the same style. As a guitarist, you could split this into rhythm guitar, chords, and melodies, etc.
Think about audio requirements, recording at -6 dB, make sure the loops actually loop by editing them proper, bundle them, submit them, and start selling.
